Whoa, love this story to pieces! Long time since I saw such an excellent take on Bill/Charlie. Just beautiful! I'm sitting here feeling horribly sad, but somehow grinning as well, because this was such a pleasure to read.
Your Charlie's a delight - so much courage in him, yet always so vulnerable in the relationship with his brother: so much love and need, yet with Bill gradually slipping away no matter what Charlie does. Seems like it was the two of them thrown together right from the start, only each other for company up there at the top of the Weasley sibling line-up. Much closer to each other than to any of the younger ones. And the way you unfolded the start of their physical relationship, all those early years - raw and lovely, convincing and immediate - I couldn't stop reading for a moment. Favorite scene: Charlie on his back in the forest, how it's totally unplanned, and then revealed to be their first kiss as well as first fuck. And I do like how you've left some room for hope at the end, no matter how things eventually work out for them. Thanks for writing this hot and moving story.
