Reading Lorrie Moore really helps, because she's the 2nd person MASTER. *bows* Before I read, 'How to Be An Other Woman', I figured second person was all about beginning every sentence with 'You', but she uses command to not sound at all commanding but to highlight the self-deprecation and the irony, and I've just tried to capture one-tenth of her brilliance in these two pieces.
