So I finished my fic for hp_chan_slash last night -- woot woot! \o/ It's not due for about 6 weeks, LOL! It's rough, so now I have plenty of time to polish. But I think I really dig it. :-D It's 4.5k of Sirius/Harry angsty goodness. I was nervous about signing up for this, because I've been in what's for me a sign up frenzy. Call it the cool Autumn air, the back to school fervor -- whatever it's been, I've been the little joiner this month. Which is soooooooooo not like me, because my life is unpredictable, so signing up for fests can be a tad anxiety-producing, because what if I have to totally bail at some point and really disappoint someone?? And I signed up for three...make that four (one in another fandom) upcoming fests. And I'm going to participate in a fifth informal one with no sign-ups that is a sheer BLAST called Prompt Fest run by my bestie elrhiarhodan over on her journal (so come play!!! Heh. I said come play.)

Now that I've finished this one (while still getting my regular work done, too, although I shouldn't brag about that too much, because I have a paper due Sunday that I haven't started), I feel accomplished enough to feel pretty darn good about the others, too. And this one was so very fulfilling to write! The others will be, too. So I'm excited. More excited than scared now, I think.

Yay!

comments
