A/N: This is for adventdrabbles and prompt #21: mulled cider.

It was the kind of afternoon that begged a bed and a good book. But Minerva could have neither, so a nice hour-long trip into Hogsmeade would have to do the trick. The hearth was warm and crackling, and she'd gotten her favorite table at the Three Broomsticks – the only one without a wobbly leg.

But what made it more than nice was that Rolanda Hooch showed up halfway through Minerva's mulled cider, looking fresh off the field, her hair in wind-thrown spikes and her eyes extra bright. She looked around, saw Minerva, and waved. Minerva smiled nervously and wiggled her fingers in return.

It had been several months now since their summer…thing. Mineva wasn't at all sure what to call it. But she could still remember the feel of Rolanda's thigh between her own…the rough way Rolanda handled her breasts…the soft way she handled everything else.

Rolanda ordered her own cider and, to Minerva's delight, came to sit at her table, heaving a sigh as she sat. Her smile was just the littlest bit slanty. At least Minerva thought it was.

"Min," she said, sipping her drink.

"Ro," Minerva answered, blushing like mad.

Then they spent the hour sipping their ciders, bantering back and forth, and playing footsie under the table. Minerva decided that it was the finest hour she'd spent in a good long while.
