Characters: Harry, Sirius (UST if you'd like)
Rating: PG
Words: 100x2
Challenge Prompt:
harry100's "First".
The first time I touched his heart, he was too young, and I was a wreck . He was my godson, and I was finally redeemed in his eyes. He knew the truth – he knew his parents through me – their love, through me -- and he counted me as family. I wanted to burst with joy and pride.
I flew away that day on a hippogriff. I left him, and it stabbed my heart and his, too.
I dreamed of him. I dreamed of us. Until I saw him again and could touch him.
We should have been together longer.
The last time I touched his heart, I was a ghost, and he was going to die. He asked me if it hurt, and I lied. In his eyes was such courage. I wanted to burst with pain and pride.
He died for us all that day. He chose life that day. He left me, and the happiness in me aches still.
He is a hero. Harry is *my* hero. Even here, in this bright, silent place, waiting for him, I dream his eyes. I touch his heart. I hold him.
Someday, we’ll be together once more.
But not yet.
