In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something.

First of all, I love how this one is worded -- like the very challenge itself is sort of put out with you. "Make a thing. Anything. Just do something, you fucking slacker."

Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to try to create some squee.

I don't have it in me to write it right this second, but here's what I've been thinking about today. (This is generally how I email my besties and betas, by the way. I just decided to take my brainstormy squee-shit public for this challenge.)

So dudes, I'm at Rite-Aid and I see the game, Twister, and it just hits me. HOMG, what if it's 8th year and the houses all have to live together, right? So Harry and Draco share a common room if not a dorm exactly. You feel me? Okay! So!

I see this fic in three parts. You ever see that movie "Clue", where they have three different endings? This would be the same fic, written three ways, to accomadate (and I've spelled that word 11 different ways, I give up!) three different games. That or they play every Saturday night and each Saturday night is a new section of the story. (THIS IS MY PROCESS.)

Okay, so Twister is one, and Harry and Draco of course get all tangled up, and I think Harry ends up on top of Draco and Draco is trying to hold his body off the mat, but there's Potter ON TOP OF HIM and sort of stumbling, about to fall, but every time he moves, he's totally rubbing up against Draco's cock and Draco is all, "Fucking quit it, Potter." And Harry's all *wiggle wiggle wiggle* "Fucking stop it, Potter." *wiggle wiggle wiggle* And there's eye contact and KNOWING even if nobody else knows and I don't know if Draco comes in his pants or not, but... \o/

The other two nights are, of course, Truth or Dare and then Spin the Bottle. And I have an idea for some magical Spin the Bottle cheating, too, that's just YUMMY!!!!!

So yeah. I think that's what I may write next.

I love that your idea came to you in Rite Aid. I get ideas in the weirdest places too.

I don't really talk about fics, because I'm awful at trying to summarize ideas I have before I actually write them, so mostly I just write them out and ship them off to my beta. Sometimes I get an idea so freaking awesome that it can't wait and then I ramble for a while. Got one this weekend for the ongoing series I've got and then panicked because my beta was gone for the weekend and I had no one to talk to. There was much flailing and sadness.

ANYHOW. PLEASE WRITE SMUTTY 8th YEAR TWISTER.

I would read the hell out of this.

And my process is kinda-sorta the same. Except I can never talk-talk about stories - I can only do it through a chat or email. Otherwise I get all tied up and self-conscious. And then I have to kill the story with a dull blade or a hammer or something. Because I become convinced that whoever I've just shared with hates it and thinks its stupid.

Yeah, I usually just do this with you or Tam privately. I don't really fear rejection per se. More that if I share it, I won't actually *write* it. But I think I want to see this too damn bad to let it die in this post. ;-)

I want to talk about fics like this!!!! But I don't write so it's kind of sad in a..."i wish!!!!" But I get all excited to hear when people talk to me. :D

that's an interesting idea for a fic and the three consequetive saturdays for the games sounds like a good plan. Allows you to ratchet up the tension/amount of action in each game with the ambiguity of what happens goes down. But i'd do it in this order;

game 1: twister - this isn't inherently naughty. Any grinding action could purely be co-incidental as far as Draco knows. So ambiguity.
game 2: spin the bottle - more naughty by design but 'random' so still deniable by Harry or Draco as meaning they have a thing.
game 3: potentially incredibly naughty and dirty but only if someone makes it that way on purpose. So its a make or break point for do they/don't they do it/like each other whatever.
