Why rec'd: And why rec'd so late. I sort of feel like an ass that this is the only story I read from this fest. Snarry isn't my thing, but I have other friends *cough* torino10154 *cough* who write beautiful Snarry, too, and I still haven't really reached into the pairing much at all. On the other hand, I feel a bit like an ass for not recc'ing this beautiful thing SOONER. Because it's beautiful. Shelly has a real way with words that is lyrical without feeling forced and rides a delicate line between the angst of the thing, the humor of it, the sexiness, and the joy. It takes talent to include all of those things in an organic way in one less-than-2k story. Her Harry and Ron are spot-the-fuck ON, and I found myself smiling when Harry smiled and hoping for him and Severus and then having those hopes rewarded. Really gorgeous stuff!

Why Rec'd: Because hothothothotWRONGhothothothotWRONGhot!!!! The pairings line really almost says it all. But it wouldn't be so very awesome if it weren't written well. This fic is worth it for the description of Lily's nipples ALONE. *drools on herself*

Aw, LOL. Thanks (I think). I do find that having friends that are passionate about a pairing, I at least sample the pairing that way even if I don't feel inclined to immerse myself in it.

And the rec is well deserved. sdkshelly's Severus/Harry drabbles/ficlets have always been awesome so I was thrilled I finally twisted her arm convinced her to do one of our fests. :D

I am so behind reading at Samhain, Sirius Black, and Deviant because I have been writing like a mad woman!! :/ Hopefully I can get caught up soon.

Well, that is the best damn reason for not reading I ever heard! YAY writing! Go you!!!

And yeah, there just aren't enough hours in the day for everything. When I'm behind in a fest I myself am participating in, that feels like it needs to take precedence for me over reading in a fest I haven't written for, if that makes any sense. Add to that my own pairings preferences, and reading heavily at a Snarry fest doesn't end up ranking as high on my To Do list even though I know there are stellar writers for it.

But having TOO MUCH to read it a pretty great problem to have.
