I'm going to try to do ones my flist hasn't already done (AO3 and daily_deviant in particular even though they're both fantastic).

hd_tropes -- because it was a really well-run fest that turned out some amazing stuff and also gave me the chance to write a trope I'd been wanting to but had shied away from precisely because it *was* a trope. marianna_merlo and kedavranox for running the fest so awesomely. It was a great experience, and I'd love to participate again.
hp_3somes -- because there just needs to be more threesome/moresome fic in the world! Maybe it's because I'm writing a moresome right now that this is coming up for me, but I'm really grateful a comm like this exists for all kinds of HP combinations. And while I'm not sure if they're going to have a fest like last year's, I loved participating in it and would definitely want to do something like that again some time.
quibbler_report -- which consistently reports on great rarepair stories and art in HP fandom. I've read and seen some really great stuff from watching this comm that I would never have come across otherwise. Plus, every time I get recc'd there, I squee a little bit. ;-)

His breathing slowed. His eyelids drooped. The ceiling went grey and dark. And then he heard a woman's voice sigh, "Someone, get Healer Malfoy."
Author Notes: This was the easiest story in the world to start and the hardest to finish. I took some liberties with the canon effects of a werewolf scratch. It's a really bad scratch, folks. ;-) Plus, I made up a potion. I'm a rebel like that. I so hope this doesn't disappoint! I'm quite nervous! The ever-amazingelrhiarhodan betaed this for me, and I thank her so much. I also want to thank sdkshelly whose wonderful suggestions were and will always be so greatly valued. The title is, predictably, from Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Why Rec'd: Gosh, what do I say? There's no flash-bang here, no huge angst or wand fights or character death or even shouting. This is a simple story told with deep sophistication and care. The progression of their attraction and their relationship is exquisite -- UST as hot as sex. And the sex itself is GUH! This is paced just perfectly, each section making us care about them more and more, each one a little hotter (and sweeter) than the last. I adored every single moment of this story. Quite possibly my favorite fromhd_tropes yet.

They feel in character while still saying 'fuck' a lot. I loved them separately and I LOVED them together. The author,currently anon kedavranox at hd_tropes, really has a great feel for their psychological make-up. The premise is interesting and quirky. The sex is HHHHOT. And Draco Malfoy flies on a Muggle airplane for the first time. Seriously, it's worth it just for that. And for all his not knowing that he WANTS HARRY SO FUCKING BAD.
